Budget Airfare to ParisThere are several ways to insure that you get the best, and cheapest airfare to Paris. First, make sure that you're flexible. You'll find the most expensive fares are on the weekends. If you can be flexible and fly during the week, you'll save money. Instead of flying out Saturday morning to begin your Paris vacation, wait until Monday morning and you could save up to $100 round trip. Or you could leave a day early for vacation - take Friday off and fly then - you'll still save the same amount, and get an extra day in Paris! Do the same thing for your return flight; book your flight to return no later than Friday, and you'll save. If you fly strictly on the weekend, it will definitely cost more. A great site I've found to find some fantastic deals is Sherman's Travel. You can sign up for a weekly newsletter, and the kind folks at Shermans's Travel will send you the scoop on the latest deals they've scoured the web for. I've booked some great trips rather unexpectedly, just from an email I've gotten from them letting me know about a great fare that was available. Sometimes the surprise trips are the best - and the cheapest!! Just so you know, Sherman's Travel won't bombard your mailbox with offers; they won't hound you at all, but it's a great newsletter to sign up for. If you're looking for a true last minute trip, you may have heard of Site 59. Site 59 is the industry leader in deeply-discounted last-minute travel packages. They are named for the 59th, or last, minute, and they are able to locate unsold airline seats that can be booked up to 3 hours before departure. Site59 helps travelers save up to 70% off their travel costs - they are amazing! Let's not forget nearly everyone's favorite - Travelocity! The little gnome that we've all come to love has saved most of us a bundle time and time again. One of the great things about Travelocity is the ability to search for flexible dates. That gives you the opportunity to really see when the cheapest airfare would be. Did you know that Travelocity can even find you the lowest fares without committing to any dates at all - they'll do all the work for you! One practical consideration that I would recommend is travel insurance. It may seem like you don't need it, but you just never know what might happen. A hurricane could strike, and the planes are grounded. A beloved family member could become ill, and you would need to postpone your trip. Travel insurance will insure that you can get a refund, and take that trip later, when you are able. It can also pay for lost baggage, and in some instances, medical bills overseas. One last thing - Passports!!!! Please make sure that all of your documentation is current and in order, correct names, everything matches, or you won't be going anywhere. Currently, the U.S. Passport offices are backed up, so make sure that you plan early, or use a reputable service to expedite your credentials. Now that you are armed with the best ways to find the cheapest airfares, start planning that trip to Paris!
